About Sijenius

Building the invisible systems that move industries forward.

We are a precision-engineering studio designing the platforms, infrastructure, and intelligent software that powers tomorrow's most ambitious organizations — built with rigor, shipped with intent.

Our Story

Founded by engineers, for engineers.

Sijenius was established in 2017 by a small team of systems engineers and product architects who shared a frustration: too much of the technology being shipped to enterprises was overcomplicated, fragile, and divorced from the real operational needs of the people using it. We believed there was a better way — a discipline-first approach where deep technical work, careful product thinking, and uncompromising engineering standards were the default, not the exception.

Today, Sijenius partners with forward-looking organizations across financial services, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare technology. We design and build the systems our clients cannot afford to get wrong: high-throughput data platforms, mission-critical control software, intelligent automation pipelines, and the integration fabric that holds complex operations together. Every engagement is led by senior practitioners who write code, review architecture, and stay accountable to outcomes long after launch.

Mission & Values

What we believe, and how we work.

Three principles guide every system we design, every line of code we ship, and every relationship we build with our clients.

Precision over speed

We refuse to trade correctness for velocity. Every architectural decision is validated, every system is stress-tested, and every release meets a documented standard. The fastest way to ship is to build it right the first time — and that is the only speed we optimize for.

Engineered for endurance

The systems we build are designed to outlast the trends that birthed them. We choose durable patterns, honest abstractions, and well-understood primitives — producing software that remains operable, maintainable, and adaptable years after launch, not weeks.

Accountability to outcomes

We measure success the way our clients do: by the reliability of production systems, the clarity of insights delivered, and the operational leverage our work creates. Our senior engineers stay engaged long after delivery, because lasting systems require lasting ownership.

Engineering Ethos

How we approach the work.

Discipline is the throughline. From the first discovery call to long-term production operations, our process is designed to surface risk early, validate assumptions rigorously, and leave clients with systems they fully understand and can evolve.

Discovery & Architecture

Every engagement begins with a deep technical audit and a clearly scoped architecture brief — never a vague estimate.

  • System requirements modeling and risk mapping
  • Reference architectures and proof-of-concept builds
  • Documented design decisions and trade-off analysis

Build & Operate

Senior engineers write the code. Production-grade observability, testing, and deployment practices are non-negotiable from day one.

  • Continuous integration, testing, and security scanning
  • Observability-first deployments with SLOs and runbooks
  • Long-term operational ownership and capability transfer
Company Milestones

A timeline of the work.

Eight years of compounding decisions, shipped systems, and the long arc of building a practice that values depth over breadth.

2017

Founded in Singapore

Sijenius is incorporated by a team of four systems engineers with backgrounds in financial infrastructure and industrial automation. First engagement: a real-time settlement platform for a regional brokerage.

2019

Expansion into industrial systems

Opened our first European engineering hub and delivered a fleet telemetry platform processing more than 40 million events per day for a major logistics operator.

2021

Platform engineering practice launched

Formalized our internal platform methodology — a repeatable, audited approach to designing integration fabrics, data pipelines, and developer platforms for large organizations.

2023

AI-assisted operations tooling

Shipped our first production AI-ops system — an intelligent incident triage and root-cause analysis layer for one of the largest payment processors in Southeast Asia.

2025

140+ systems, 12 countries

Crossed a hundred production deployments across twelve countries, with long-term operational partnerships spanning financial services, healthcare technology, energy, and advanced manufacturing.

The People

A small, senior team.

We deliberately stay small. Every engineer at Sijenius has at least a decade of production experience, and every engagement is led by someone who has personally shipped the kind of system being built.

Daniel Khoo
Founder & Principal Engineer

Formerly led low-latency infrastructure at a tier-one exchange. Specializes in distributed systems, capital markets platforms, and the operational discipline that keeps them honest.

Aisha Mendoza
Director, Platform Engineering

Built developer platforms at two unicorns before joining Sijenius. Owns our internal platform methodology and leads engagements across data-intensive and developer-facing systems.

Rohan Tanaka
Head of Operations Engineering

Spent eight years running 24/7 production for an industrial control vendor. Brings deep experience in observability, incident response, and the unglamorous craft of keeping systems running.

Elena Vasquez
Principal, Intelligent Systems

Researcher-turned-engineer focused on applied AI for high-stakes operations. Leads our work on AI-assisted monitoring, decision support, and the safe deployment of machine learning in regulated environments.
